Vancouver Weather: Showers and strong winds

VANCOUVER, B.C.: Friday, Oct. 25. Today’s weather looks wet and windy, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. A special weather statement for strong wind remains in effect this morning, with gusts of up to 80 km/h expected in some parts of the region. The wind should ease off early in the evening. Friday is also expected to be mainly cloudy, with showers in the morning, and a high of 12 C. The wet weather is forecast to clear up around noon. Overnight looks partly cloudy, with wind, and a low of 6 C, and then the weekend looks sunny and mostly clear. On Saturday, the day will likely start out with a mix of sun and cloud, but that should clear up around noon, with a high of 12 C. Saturday night watch for a temperature drop down to just 4 C, and then Sunday looks sunny and clear, with a high of 10 C.  Monday and Tuesday are also sunny, and a cool 9 C both days.

Today: Cloudy, with showers this morning. Clearing near noon. Wind south 30 km/h becoming northwest 40 to 60 this morning except gusting to 80 near the Strait of Georgia this afternoon. High 12 C. UV index 2 or low.

Tonight: Clear. Becoming partly cloudy overnight. Wind northwest 40 to 60 km/h except gusting to 80 near the Strait of Georgia this evening. Wind becoming northwest 30 late this evening. Low 6 C.

Tomorrow: A mix of sun and cloud. Clearing near noon. High 12 C.
