A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a federal offender who failed to return to his Vancouver halfway house last week.
James Larry Moyah, 45, who police say has a history of violence and substance abuse, went missing Oct. 18 while on statutory release for aggravated assault.
Police describe Moyah as an Indigenous man, about 5-feet-10 and 160 pounds, with brown eyes and long black hair, which he often wears tied back in a ponytail. He has tattoos on his arms and back, and was last seen wearing black pants, a black jacket with a white hood and black shoes.
The VPD advise anyone who sees Moyah, and those with information about his whereabouts, to call 911.
