What began as a fraud investigation in Surrey has led to a massive weapons and stolen property seizure in Langley.
Surrey RCMP announced Tuesday they had executed a search warrant earlier in the month on a home in the 7500-block of 202A Street in Langley. Police were led to the home after investigating a fraud case that began in Surrey, with evidence suggesting the home was linked to the fraud probe.
During an Oct. 10 search of the Langley home, RCMP found evidence of the initial fraud being investigated, as well as a stockpile of weapons and stolen items.
Those included two loaded firearms, two replica handguns, three cross bows, three sets of body armour, firearms ammunitions, six stolen vehicles, multiple Tasers, as well as swords, brass knuckles and more.
Police also arrested nine people who were inside the home at the time of the search. All have been released pending further investigation and no charges have yet been recommended.
Anyone with information about the weapons or the seizure is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
