Election Day in Vancouver brings to end a weekend thick with electioneering in the province, as the leaders of Canada’s four main federal parties spent the last days on the campaign trail trying to appeal to voters across British Columbia.
Polls heading into the weekend suggested a tight race, with B.C. ridings that were close in 2015 looking particularly important in this election.
The candidates’ pollsters certainly believed these late campaign stops could make a difference. But how about you? Advanced polling was way up this election, suggesting plenty of Canadians have made up their minds already. Are you one of them? Was your vote locked in before this weekend? Was there anything the leaders could do to wrangle your support at this eleventh hour?
