Why we love it: Jewelry is always a good idea. Especially when the piece (or collection) in question features a timeless design that can be worn for years to come.
A new offering from the American jewelry designer David Yurman offers just that. Titled the Origami collection, the range is said to be inspired by the Yurman family’s lifelong appreciation of Japanese art and tradition.
The collection features earrings, bracelets, necklaces and more, crafted from sterling silver or 18-karat gold, each one featuring a “bold, sculptural” design, mixed with “flexible forms” crafted to “wrap around the body.”
While we can certainly appreciate the full lineup of pieces, we’re partial to the DY Origami Link Bracelet in sterling silver (as well as its all-gold counterpart), which features interlocking cable and smooth spheres to create a three-dimensional, art-like sculpture wrapped around the wearer’s wrist.
