Party leaders are getting grilled in New Westminster, where the latest (b)unofficial burger poll puts the NDP on top, followed by the Green Party.
The lighthearted Burger Heaven poll, which has a burger for each leader and tracks which ones customers buy, so far finds 30 per cent relish the NDP Jagmeet Singh Burger, followed by 23 per cent for the Green Elizabeth May Burger, and 22 per cent for the Liberal Justin Trudeau Burger.
That puts the Conservative Andrew Scheer Burger and the CPP Maxime Bernier Burger in a bit of a pickle, with just 12 per cent, and two per cent, respectively.
The Bloc Quebecois Yves-François Blanchet Burger also need to ketchup, as it is tied at just two per cent.
Nine per cent are apparently bun-decided.
The tradition has been happening at the popular burger joint for 28 years and will continue on until Oct. 20.
Each burger ordered counts toward one vote for that party’s leader, according to Burger Heaven. The results are tracked on a board at the restaurant.
The federal election takes place on Oct. 21.
