Billy Cramer is a 21-year-old video editor from Stockholm Sweden who has been studying filmmaking and learning everything he can about this art form for many years. His experience in directing, writing, and editing has helped him to land more than 100,00 subscribers on YouTube.
In a spec ad he created of the Tesla Roadster 2.0, he shows it as a symbol of the future, and highlights that this future is being created right this very minute as I type these words onto this blank webpage.

In the video description on YouTube, Billy also mentioned that this is a compilation of videos, and he gives credit to other videos that he used in editing this one. He also stated that, “This is a conceptual ad created for fun. No monetary value was gained from the video.”
Tesla is well-known for its word-of-mouth marketing, and also for having never purchased advertising. This high-quality video produced by Billy Cramer is no exception. Many people share their love for Tesla and often post videos and photos of their cars online. Set to Daft Punk’s remix of Kanye West’s song Stronger, the video leads with beautiful footage of the Tesla Roadster 2.0.
The lyrics to the song permeate the video, giving it a sense of power — the power of creating your own future.
The video starts with a sleek black Tesla Roadster and then cuts to a red one. The video emphasizes in these short few seconds what the message is: the future. The video moves in time with the music to show Tesla employees in the act of creation in the factory. As the music pauses for a moment, it’s a message of the future that is validated by a quote:
“The best way to predict the future
is to create it.
That quote is well known as a quotation of two monumental people in history.
U.S. President Abraham Lincoln was someone who had a lot of failures in life, yet he still believed that you could predict the future by creating it. He self-studied his way into law and not only became the 16th president of the United States but eventually aided in abolishing slavery. This quote painted a picture of a man who believed wholeheartedly in making his dreams come true no matter what. For him, it wasn’t about failure, but about getting back up and trying again.
Peter Drucker was an Austria-born American who not only authored writings that helped shape the foundations of how we do business today, but has been described as the founder of modern management. His writings explored how people are organized in sectors of society related to business, nonprofit work, and government. His work was focused on bringing out the best in people — and even had some of his works burned and banned by the Nazis.
This quote, stated by two different men from two different eras, still applies today. Tesla isn’t just the future, it’s creating the future. And like all companies, Tesla is made up of people. Each person contributes. In the video, you see people making cars, electric cars. Each footstep, each breath, each choice made — they all impact tomorrow. Tesla isn’t the only one. Every artist, writer, creator, editor, crafter, thinker, worker — all of our choices today impact tomorrow.
