Vancouver Weather: Scattered showers, heavy rain later

VANCOUVER, B.C.: Saturday, Sept. 14. The day is expected to start out with scattered showers, then chance to mainly cloudy, and then the heavier rain, along with wind, will likely return in the afternoon, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. The agency is forecasting up to 10 millimetres of rain later in the day, with a high of 18 C, and then up to 25 millimetres of rain overnight. Sunday looks mainly cloudy with a good chance of showers and a high of 16 C. Looking ahead to next week, it appears the region may see some sunshine after all in Monday, with the forecast calling for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 18 C. The rain is expected to return Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs of 17 C, and 19 C, respectively. Thursday and Friday are forecast to be mainly cloudy but dry.
