In collaboration with the Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), an accredited US institution that provides practical and professional aviation skills education, EducationUSA conducted an interactive workshop and discussion on US aviation studies programs for 75 Filipino students and professionals at the US Embassy in the Philippines.
The event is part of Education USA’s Enrichment Series, a free, year-long set of monthly programs designed to help prospective applicants make well-informed choices when choosing a university abroad at any point in their academic career.
At the event, admissions representatives from AIM discussed the increasing demand for degree-holders in aviation, one of the world’s fastest growing industries. Boeing, Delta Airlines, NASA, Rolls-Royce and United Airlines are just some of the companies that hire AIM graduates.
Two of EducationUSA’s recent advisees have secured more than $20,000 in scholarships to attend AIM next year, and will be eligible to stay and work in the United States for a certain period of time after graduation while on their student visa.
Education USA provides free advising services to prospective international students in more than 170 countries, and offers student resources and tools to navigate the Five Steps to US Study: researching schools, identifying financing, completing the application, obtaining a student visa and prepa-ring for departure.
There are more than 4,500 accredited higher education institutions in the United States and an EducationUSA adviser can help students define their priorities to narrow their options and plan their college careers. EducationUSA does not offer scholarships, but can assist students in identifying scholarship and financial assistance opportunities.
