One man is dead after a Mustang and a Camero collided in Surrey early Sunday morning.

According to Surrey RCMP, a grey Camero was westbound on Nordel Way around 1:15 a.m. Sunday when a Mustang pulled past the Camero just east of 120th Street.

The two vehicles then collided and the driver of the Mustang lost control of the vehicle and spun sideways into a hydro pole.

The driver of the Mustang suffered non-life threatening injuries, while a male passenger died at the scene. The two male occupants in the Camero sustained only minor injuries.

The cause remains unknown at this time though investigators noted it was raining heavily at the time of the collision.
