Langley’s Willowbrook Shopping Centre will be home to British Columbia’s first Nordstrom Rack store.
Seattle-based company Nordstrom Inc. will make its plan to set up shop in the Fraser Valley mall public on Friday. The Fraser Valley was pinpointed by the retailer for its introduction of it’s off-price retail outlet into the province as it’s considered to be “one of the fastest growing regions in Vancouver’s Lower Mainland,” according to a news release.
“We’re excited to continue growing our presence in Canada by opening a much-anticipated Nordstrom Rack location in Langley,” Geevy Thomas, the president of Nordstrom Rack, said in the news release. “We’ve learned from our Canadian customers since our initial openings in 2018, and look forward to enhancing the customer experience with our latest service and experience touch-points to best serve the Vancouver market.”
The Langley location will be the seventh Nordstrom Rack store in Canada, with two stores already open in Toronto and locations in Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton and Mississauga. The approximately 30,000-square-foot shopping space is scheduled to open in spring 2020 and will offer apparel, accessories and shoes from a variety of brands at savings of up to 70 per cent off.
The store, located at 19705 Fraser Highway, will be the second Nordstrom Inc. store in the Lower Mainland. The Nordstrom flagship set up shop in Vancouver’s Pacific Centre mall in 2015.
