Transit service restored, roads reopened after downtown Vancouver fire

A fire in downtown Vancouver is caused transit delays and some road closures on Monday morning.

The fire, located near Granville and Nelson streets, was first reported around 5:30 a.m. Crews were able to get the flames under control around 6:30 a.m.

The blaze had caused delays to some TransLink routes but those buses are now back to their regularly scheduled times. The buses include the 4, 7, 10, 14, 16, 17 and 50.

Road closures were also in effect in the nearby area, including sections of Granville, Howe and Seymour streets from Nelson to Georgia.

The roads have since been re-opened.
