Downtown Vancouver fire causes transit delays, road closures on Monday morning

A fire in downtown Vancouver is causing major transit delays and some road closures on Monday morning.
The fire, located near Granville and Nelson streets, was first reported around 5:30 a.m. Crews are currently on scene battling the flames.
The blaze has caused delays to the following TransLink routes: 4, 7, 10, 14, 16, 17 and 50. Transit riders are being warned to expect delays and re-routes, and to allow for extra travel time.
Road closures are also in effect in the nearby area, including sections of Granville, Howe and Seymour streets from Nelson to Georgia.
Drivers should avoid the area at this time.
