Aug. 11 to 12: Tig-Aw Festival
Residents of Tigaon town in Camarines Sur province pay homage to the their patroness, St. Clare of Assisi.
There will be a bloodletting activity, agriculture day, farmers’ night, folk dance competition and military parade.
Aug. 11 to 15: Longganisa Festival
Bicol region’s food delicacies, longganisa de Guinobatan, takes center stage in a festival in Guinobatan town, Albay province.
The popular pork sausage is Guinobatan’s “One Town, One Product.”
Activities include a job fair, cultural night, PWD day, senior citizens’ night, drum and lyre competition and “Culinaria Longganisa.”
Aug. 14: Araw ng Santo Tomas
The municipality of Santo Tomas in Davao del Norte province celebrates its 60th founding anniversary.
A youth sports festival, which includes skateboarding, laro ng lahi, painting contest and cosplay competition, kicked off the celebration.
