Whether it was the Las Vegas shooting at a music festival that left 58 dead in 2017, the numerous school shootings, or the latest two on the weekend in Texas and Ohio that left 31 dead, some Canadians may feel uneasy about booking a trip south of the border. So far this year in the U.S., there have been more than 240 mass shootings (incidents involving multiple victims of firearm-related violence.) Now, Amnesty International is calling it a human rights crisis and has issued a travel warning.
