Suspected motorcycle thief killed in gunfight with Isabela cops

TUMAUINI, Isabela — A 25-year-old man was killed while his two companions escaped during a reported gunfight with police on Sunday (Aug. 4).
Police identified the slain suspect as Geoffrey Divina, 25, a resident of District 2, Gamu town.
Investigators said a villager reported that three men stole his motorcycle, prompting police to chase the suspects who engaged the lawmen in a gun battle.
Divina was killed instantly while his two cohorts managed to escape.
