Former Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Jose Balajadia Jr. passes away

MANILA, Philippines – Former Senate Sergeant- at- Arms Jose Balajadia Jr., passed away Sunday morning.

Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III confirmed Balajadia’s passing in a text message.

“Passed away this morning,” Sotto said briefly.

In another Viber message to reporters, Sotto said Balajadia expired at 2:15 am.

“He was suffering from a number of ailments lately. Prostate was one big problem,” the Senate leader said.

Sotto could not say, however, the exact cause of Balajadia’s death

As of June 30, Sotto said Balajadia had resigned from his post. /gsg
