A coffee table book on the mission of the Jesuits in the Philippines has earned for the country a Gold Quill (Award of Merit) from the prestigious International Association of Business Communicators this year.

On the March, with Fr. Jose Arcilla, SJ as principal writer, edited by John Nery and co-published by Manuel Engwa and Ramoncito Ocampo Cruz of Media Wise Communications / Muse Books, was recognized for “exhibiting high-quality writing and superior production values,” according to the IABC awards committee.

The book chronicles the Jesuits’ ministry of education and the many aspects of their apostolate in the Philippines as they bring the faith to the most remote corners of the archipelago.

“On the March presents memories of the struggle and glory of the Jesuits who came by boat, hiked up the mountains, rode rickety rafts, went on horseback and then on foot to reach distant and sometimes treacherous missions,” said co-publisher and Media Wise President and CEO Ramoncito Ocampo Cruz.

Cruz received the award on June 11 during the 2019 IABC World Conference in Vancouver, Canada.
