Duterte names new NFA administrator

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed a National Food Authority (NFA) insider as its new administrator.

Duterte has appointed NFA Deputy Administrator for Marketing Operations Judy Carol Dansal as NFA chief. She is a career official.

Dansal, who replaced Jason Aquino as NFA administrator, took her oath before Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol on Tuesday afternoon.

Aquino was dismissed by the Office of the Ombudsman in April over alleged rice smuggling. (Editor: Katherine G. Adraneda)
