PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte continues to have “full trust” in Roy Ferrer, the president of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth),amid recent allegations of corruption, his spokesman said on Monday.
Salvador Panelo issued the statement in response to reports earlier in the day that the President ordered the resignation of the PhilHealth board following the scandal involving non-payment of “ghost dialysis treatments” to WellMed Dialysis and Laboratory Center Corp. (WellMed).
Duterte last week ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate the reports.
He is also considering reshuffling PhilHealth.
