Lightning kills senior citizen in Albay

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – A senior citizen died after she was struck by lightning in a village here before noon on Wednesday, police said.
Lt. Col. Aldwin Gamboa, chief of the Legazpi City police, said that the initial investigation revealed that Editha Icban, 60, was cooking at the back of her house when she was struck by lightning in Barangay Padang at around 11:15 a.m.
Icban was brought to the Albay Doctors Hospital but died a few minutes later. (Editor: Eden Estopace)
