Villar, ACT-CIS continue to lead senatorial, party-list polls

REELECTIONIST Senator Cynthia Villar and the Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) party-list group maintained their top ranking in the senatorial and party-list elections on Friday, based on the partial and unofficial count from the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).
As of 5:04 p.m., the PPCRV and its media partner, the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas, tallied 25,044,660 votes for Villar.
Another reelectionist, Grace Poe, is in second with 21,867,024 votes.
With 20,369,932, former presidential aide Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go maintained his third place position, while Taguig Rep. Pilar Juliana “Pia” Cayetano was in fourth place with 19,580,048 votes.
Former police chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa rounded the top 5 with 18,724,772 votes.
Other candidates in the so-called “Magic 12” are:
- Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara: 17,998,139 votes
- Lito Lapid: 16,836,728 votes
- Imee Marcos: 15,689,292 votes
- Francis Tolentino: 15,305,923 votes
- Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr.: 14,493,146 votes
- Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel 3rd: 14,490,872 votes
- Nancy Binay: 14,412,393 votes
Reelectionist senators Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito (14,186,201 votes) and Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino 4th (14,057,042 votes) continue to sit outside the “Magic 12.”
Meanwhile, the ACT-CIS has garnered 2,604,341 votes, with militant Bayan Muna in second with 1,107,315 votes, followed by Ako Bicol partylist with 1,046,051 votes.
The Citizens’ Battlecry Against Corruption (CIBAC) placed fourth with 923,429 votes, while Ang Probinsyano remained in the top five with 764,290 votes.
About 86,014 clustered precincts for senator and 86,015 for partylist have been tallied. ARIC JOHN SY CUA
