Triathlon gets another boost with the entry of Davao’s Penong’s Barbecue & Grill in the growing list of the sport’s sponsors.
The popular barbecue restaurant will sponsor the 5150 event on July 7 which will start and finish at the Waterfront Hotel.
“This is an opportunity to show everyone that the company is focused on also promoting a healthy lifestyle,” said Teresa Regis, who co-owns Penong’s Barbecue & Grill with Vanessa Mae Uy Santos, in yesterday’s event launch at the Blue Room of the Ayala Triangle in Makati City.

The race, that features 1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run, aims to encourage more participants try the shorter but challenging distance.
This will be the first of the three-year partnership between Penong’s Barbecue Seafood & Grill and Sunrise Events.
But before the Davao event, the Century Tuna IRONMAN 70.3 presented by Big Boss Cement, as well as the Alaska Fortified IRONKIDS Aquathlon will be held on June 1 and June 2 in Subic.
