Che’Lu Bar & Grill got big numbers from Rey Suerte and the debuting Gab Dagangon to stun Ironcon-University of Santo Tomas, 92-80, to snap a two-game skid in the PBA D-League at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

Suerte, set to play for University of the East in the UAAP, scored 27 points while Dagangon produced 17 points to help the Revellers revive their hopes of a quarterfinals berth given to the top four teams in the Aspirants Group.

The Revellers improved to 4-3, tying idle Go for Gold-St. Benilde for fifth place.

Sherwin Concepcion scored 24 points on four triples but Ironcon-UST fell to a share of second with St. Clare-Virtual Reality at 5-2 after committing 30 turnovers.

Ironcon-UST’s defeat allowed Cignal-Ateneo, which ended the elims at 8-1, to clinch the top spot in the Aspirants Group.

In other results, SMDC-National University eliminated Wangs Basketball from the quarterfinal race in the Foundation Group with a 102-71 victory.

Senegalese center Issa Gaye had 13 points and nine rebounds while Niko Abatayo scored all 12 points in the first half as the Bulldogs won their third straight after a 0-5 start while sending the Couriers to 3-5.

University of Perpetual Help improved to 2-5 after an 86-75 victory over CD14 Designs-Trinity.
