MANILA, Philippines — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Tuesday received P20 million worth of medicines and medical supplies from the Mercury Drug Foundation Inc. (MDFI).

This is seen to augment the military’s own supplies in hospitals and facilities across the country.
AFP chief Gen. Benjamin Madrigal Jr. and MDFI Board of Trustees Member Jess Mangrobang signed the deed of donation was signed at Camp Aguinaldo.

“We are very thankful to the Mercury Drug Foundation Inc. for their generosity and for recognizing the services and sacrifices of our soldiers,” Madrigal said.

This is the third time the MDFI, the corporate social responsibility arm of the country’s leading drugstore, has donated supplies to the Philippine military.
