4 missing in Catanduanes boat accident

MANILA, Philippines — Four men were missing after a motorized banca capsized in the waters of Barangay Lubas in San Andres, Catanduanes Thursday night.
The Bicol police said on Friday that a certain Francis Rogas and four unidentified men were on board the motorized banca when it capsized due to strong waves.
Police said Rogas was able to swim to the shore and report the incident to authorities, but the rest of the passengers remained missing.
Officers from San Andres Municipal Police Station have coordinated with personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office for a search and rescue operation for the missing passengers. /ee
