MANILA, Philippines — Personnel of the Philippine Army Special Operations Command’s First Scout Ranger Regiment (FSRR) who were injured in battle have been given the chance to become productive.
Provided by the Aboitiz Foundation, Panther’s Bakery, a soldier-run bakery at Camp Tecson in San Miguel, Bulacan opened in April 4 to help provide these wounded warriors an alternative livelihood through baking.
Technical Sergeant Arnold Cale, who heads the bakery, is thankful for the opportunity given to him and his fellow soldiers who were wounded in clashes to become productive and self sustaining.
The First Scout Ranger Regiment received baking equipment, financial assistance and a comprehensive baking training to help them sustain their new enterprise. /muf
