Poe still ahead in senatorial race–Pulse Asia

SEN. Grace Poe continued to lead the May 2019 senatorial race, according to a Pulse Asia survey released on Thursday, even as administration candidates inched their way into the winning circle.
Poe, who also topped the February survey, is still No. 1 with 72.6 percent saying they would vote for her, said the pollster.
Sen. Cynthia Villar also maintained her second place ranking after 63.7 percent of the respondents said they would vote for her.
Former presidential aide Christopher Christopher “Bong” Go, a newbie in the senatorial race, tied with Sen. Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara in the in the third to fifth place. About 58.5 percent said they would vote for Angara, while 55.7 percent would vote for Go.
Completing the top half of the list of probable winners are Taguig City Rep. Pilar Juliana “Pia” Cayetano (52.5 percent), former senator Manuel “Lito” Lapid (48.4 percent), United Nationalist Alliance’s bet Sen. Nancy Binay (45.5 percent) and former Philippine National Police chief Ronald dela Rosa (44.8 percent).
Those who also have a statistical chance of making it to the winners’ circle were former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. (40.9 percent), Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos (39 percent), former presidential political adviser Francis Tolentino (35.7 percent), former Sen. Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada (35.2). Sen. Benigno “Bam” Aquino (33.8 percent), Sen. Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel 3rd (33.6 percent), former senator Sergio “Serge” Osmeña (33 percent) and former Interior secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas (31.3 percent).
The survey was conducted from March 23 to 27, using face-to-face interviews among 1,800 Filipino adults nationwide.
