MANILA, Philippines — Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. wished ill on corrupt public officials and Filipino recruiters, wishing they get sick with cancer and get infected with the Ebola virus.
In a Twitter post on Wednesday, Locsin lashed out on corrupt public officials.
“Leave priests out of this because we are not obliged to deal with priests. But the law requires us to deal with put*ngina public h*ndot officials na sana macancer lahat. P*ta. Sorry. I get like that when I think of them,” Locsin said.

This after a Twitter user said the country’s “biggest problem” is bureaucracy, saying the public do not elect “corrupt customs officials” or examiners from the Bureau of Internal Revenue who allegedly “demand bribes” just like how “we don’t elect sex offender priests.”
The Twitter user was reacting to Locsin’s earlier tweet urging the public to elect “good government officials” to “get good government.” The country’s top diplomat’s post was in response to a Twitter post of Senator Panfilo Lacson, who said that the “biggest problem of our country is the government.”

Locsin later took a jab at Filipino recruiters and wished that they get infected by the Ebola virus.
“Sana mamatay mga filipino recruiters. Ma Ebola sila lahat,” he said in another Twitter post, this time, reacting to a tweet from an OFW in Libya, who expressed concerned about the status of his employment contract.
“Sana po maauthenticate na ang employment contract namin para makakuha napo kami ng [Overseas Employment Certificate]. Marsa El Brega po ang destination namin napakalayo po sa [T]ripoli,” the Twitter user said referring to Libya’s capital.
This amid a looming deployment ban in Libya following the eruption of a civil war in the country.
Locsin later deleted his tweets with curses on the advice of her daughter.
“Daughter alert: ‘I am deleting all tweets with curses.’ My God. What about my freedom of expression. There is no democracy with daughters,” he said. /muf
