Community college in Antipolo gets CHEd recognition

The Antipolo City Institute of Technology (AiTECH) has been recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) as one of the first 50 higher education institutions (HEIs) in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) to complete a higher education data.

The awarding ceremony was held at the 6th Registrars Forum of Association of College and University Registrars and Liaison Officers-Calabarzon in Biñan, Laguna recently.

“It is an honor to our city because it simply means that we are strictly following the CHEd’s standards to ensure that we continue to provide quality and affordable education to our scholars,” said Antipolo Mayor Casimiro “Jun” Ynares 3rd.

Currently, there are 312 HEIs in Calabarzon.

AiTECH is the only city college in the country offering Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering. It also ties up with public and private institutions to ensure quality education.

AiTECH Innovation Design Engineering and Art Fabrication Laboratory (IDEA FabLab) also launched a partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry. It is the first and only FabLab nationwide owned and managed by a local government unit.
