MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice (DOJ) has set the preliminary investigation of Marawi City Vice Mayor Arafat Salic’s alleged involvement in the 2017 Marawi seige for April 3.
Assistant State Prosecutor Rodan Parrocha said there is no longer any need for a subpoena because Salic has been informed of the date of the investigation when he was brought to the DOJ last March 13.
Salic was supposed to undergo inquest proceeding at the DOJ for his alleged participation in the Marawi siege, but a prosecutor has ordered his release as he found the police complaint against Salic “inquestible.”
