MANILA, Philippines — The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) is bringing cloudy skies with isolated light rain over Mindanao, the weather bureau said Monday.
The LPA was last spotted 1,010 east-southeast of Mindanao, outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the weather disturbance is not likely to intensify into a tropical cyclone.
The northeast monsoon, meanwhile, continues to affect Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country are covered by the ridge of a high pressure area, which means humid weather is expected most of the day. /cbb
