‘Wutip’ may enter PH this week — Pagasa

TYPHOON “Wutip” may enter the Philippines this week and will be locally named “Betty,” the state-run weather bureau said on Sunday.

In its forecast earlier in the day, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Wutip was spotted 1,875 kilometers east of Visayas, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). It is moving northwest at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour (kph), with maximum sustained winds of 185 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 225 kph. DIVINA JOY DELA CRUZ
