FORMER broadcast journalist-turned-senatorial candidate Rodrigo “Jiggy” Manicad, Jr. is batting for the continued criminalization of libel so that there won’t be abuse “among us journalists.”

During the ABS-CBN senatorial forum “Harapan 2019” on Sunday night, Manicad said he was against moves to turn libel into a civil offense.
