Man killed in Cebu City fire

CEBU CITY – A 51-year-old man died after he allegedly burned his house in Barangay Kamputhaw at past 9 a.m. on Friday.

Alexitas Rabong identified the fatality as her uncle Alex Sanchez.

The fire also destroyed three houses and damaged two others.

Rabong said her uncle, who had been talking to himself, had long wanted to end his life.

The Cebu City Fire department received the alarm at 9:28 a.m. Firefighters put out the fire at 9:54 a.m.

Damage was pegged at P80,000./lzb
