CAFGU man, 5 pals fall in drug bust

AN active member of the Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) and his five companions, including two minors, were arrested by police in a drug bust in Quezon City over the weekend.
Quezon City Police District director Chief Superintendent Joselito Esquivel Jr. identified suspects as CAFGU member Raffy Maglaque, 28; Ryan Maglaque, 30; Sonny Mansano, 45; and Jayson Jolo-an, 19.
Two other boys, ages 16 and 17, were also rescued by the police during the operation.
According to the police, all of the arrested suspects are newly identified drug personalities in Barangay Comminwealth where they are all residing.
Based on a police report, personnel of Quezon City Police Station 6 Drug Enforcement Unit set an entrapment against the group on San Pedro Street in Barangay Commonwealth around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
An undercover officer transacted with Raffy and purchased P200 worth of shabu.
Upon finishing the drug deal, responding police team immediately collared Raffy and his companions.
Four more sachets of shabu were confiscated from Raffy while his cohorts yielded a sachet each.
The suspects are now under police custody and were charged with violation of Repubkic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The minors were turned over to the Quezon City Social Services and Development Department (SSDD) for appropriate intervention. (Alexandria San Juan)
