More Filipinos believe lives improved in Q4 of 2018 — SWS

MORE Filipinos believe that their lives have improved, the Social Weather Stations (SWS) said in a survey in mid-December of 2018.
Of the 1,440 respondents aged 18 and above, 37 percent said their lives got better while 25 percent said it worsened.
The number of “gainers” in the survey that was taken from December 16 to 19 was 9 percentage points higher than the 28 percent in September of the same year.
The number of “losers” declined by 5 percentage points, from September’s 30 percent.
This resulted in a net rating of +12, a significant increase from the -2 of the previous quarter. The pollster classified the mark as “very high.”
The survey found that the net gainers rose in all regions across the country.
This was significant in Mindanao, where the net gainers increased to +18, from September’s net 0.
It also rose in Metro Manila at +14 from the -4 net rating of the previous quarter.
In Balance Luzon, the net gainers were at +13 rating from -3 last quarter.
Net gainers were +3 in the Visayas from 0 in September.
The net rating also rose in all classes, especially in class E, which registered a +12 from -14 in September.
It also rose in classes A, B and C, where it saw a net rating of +23 from -1 in the last quarter.
Class D had an 11-point turnaround from 0 in September.
The survey had sampling error margins of ±2.6 percent for national percentages and ±5 percent each for Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao.
