The late Leon Ma. Guerrero was born in January 21, 1853 in Ermita, Manila.
Guerrero finished pharmacy at the University of Santo Tomas in 1876 and was one of the first Filipinos to become a licensed pharmacist.
A known botanist, he also published several papers on zoology, ornithology and lepidopterology.
He became a member of the Malolos Congress and National Assembly in 1907.
