Pangilinan, Aquino kick off campaign in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — Senatorial candidates Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and Bam Aquino began their campaign for the 2025 elections through a Holy Mass joined by former Vice President Leni Robredo.

The mass was held at 8:30 a.m. at the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice in the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City.

Akbayan Rep. Perci Cendaña and the party-list’s first nominee Atty. Chel Diokno, as well as volunteers and supporters, also joined the two candidates in the mass.

After the mass, Pangilinan and Aquino are set to conduct house-to-house visits to present themselves to voters and convince them why they should vote for them.

The main kick-off People’s campaign rally, meanwhile, will be held at 4 p.m. in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

Pangilinan and Aquino are seeking to make a comeback in the Senate in this year’s polls.

Pangilinan last served as senator from 2016 to 2022, while Aquino served from 2013 to 2019.
