Miss Universe PH 2023 2nd runner-up Angelique Manto engaged to David Guison
Angelique Manto and David Guison are ready to take the next step in their relationship, as the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 second runner-up accepted the internet personality’s marriage proposal.
Manto and Guison announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on Sunday, Dec. 29, featuring a clip of the pair posing in different outfits until it ended with the beauty queen showing off her emerald-cut engagement ring.
“My fave fit check ever,” she captioned her post.

On her Instagram Story, Manto posted a snap with Guison at the Place des Vosges Park in Paris, France, along with the caption: “Dec. 12, 2024: So this happened,” which showed the date and venue of the content creator’s marriage proposal.

The beauty queen also shared a closer look at her “proposal look” in a separate post, where she donned an oversized leather jacket, dark brown scarf, and baggy jeans.

“That’s why David commented ‘iconic look’ [because] this was taken a few minutes before the proposal. And she unknowingly insisted on an OOTD (outfit of the day) while kabado si Kuya (he was nervous),” she wrote.
Meanwhile, Guison shared photos of the Place des Vosges taken in August 2024, hinting at the day he decided on the Paris-based park as the venue for his proposal.
He also shared another photo of the venue on the day of his proposal itself.
The couple received congratulatory messages from Kylie Verzosa, Bella Racelis, Ayn Bernos and Rei Germar in the comments.
Manto and Guison had beem speculated to be in a relationship since October 2020 until sometime in 2021 when they decided to make their relationship public.
A former courtside reporter, Manto represented Pampanga at the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant where she finished second runner-up.
Her fellow Top 5 candidates include Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, Miss Supranational 2023 first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx, Miss World Philippines 2024 Krishnah Gravidez0 and Miss Grand International 2024 first runner-up CJ Opiaza.
