Ellen Adarna on why she kept pregnancy private: ‘I want it to be peaceful’
Days after giving birth to her first child with Derek Ramsay, Ellen Adarna stressed that she didn’t see the need to announce her pregnancy to the public, as she wanted it to be “quiet and peaceful.”
Adarna clarified that her loved ones had been aware of her expecting a baby in response to one @scoobiedouviedo who claimed that she wanted her pregnancy to be a “surprise,” as seen in the comments section of Ramsay’s Instagram post on Sunday, October 28.
“I didn’t want it to be a surprise. My friends and family knew I was pregnant. I didn’t hide it when I went out. I would even wear a crop top and show off my belly bump. I just didn’t announce because I don’t need to. I want a quiet and peaceful pregnancy,” she said.
The actress pointed out that she didn’t need “unsolicited advice” from people she doesn’t know.
“Last thing I need are opinions from people I don’t know and unsolicited advice,” she said.

Ramsay announced last October 23 that Adarna gave birth to their baby girl, although he remained mum on the details of the latter’s pregnancy journey and the exact date of their daughter’s birth.
The couple, who wed in November 2021, had children from previous relationships. Elias is Adarna’s son with ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz, while Ramsay has a son named Austin to his ex-wife Christine Jolly.
