The summer transfer window is open! Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings, goings and, of course, done deals!

Atletico Madrid are exploring a deal for Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes, according to the Athletic.

The LaLiga side are reported to be looking at a potential loan move for the 28-year-old, in what would be the second transfer from the Etihad Stadium after landing forward Julián Álvarez earlier in the window.

The Citizens are expected to make a decision having been yet to indicate whether they are open to letting him leave, with Nunes yet to establish himself as a mainstay in manager Pep Guardiola’s side.

Since joining City on a five-year contract from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2023, he has made just seven starts in the Premier League, while his only appearance this season was when coming on as a substitute during stoppage time in the 4-1 win over Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Atleti, who also signed Conor Gallagher from Chelsea last week, have been keen to reinforce their midfield in the current window, and it looks as though manager Diego Simeone sees Nunes as one of the final pieces to add to his first team squad this summer.

– Negotiations are progressing between Newcastle United and Crystal Palace over a deal for centre-back Marc Guéhi, reports the Daily Mail. Talks are reported to be ongoing regarding a deal worth close to £70 million, though the 24-year-old, who was recently made captain of the Eagles, is yet to indicate whether he would accept a switch to St. James’ Park.

Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman is expected to leave the Allianz Arena before the transfer window closes, reports L’Equipe. Clubs in England are believed to be among the sides interested in a move for the 28-year-old, who has been at the Bundesliga giants since the summer of 2015. He came on as a substitute in the 3-2 league win over VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday.

– Just two clubs remain in the race for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, according to Sky Sports. Juventus are believed to be open to an approach if the Red Devils are willing to accept a loan deal, while Chelsea are also said to be interested in a move for the 24-year-old.

Barcelona are interested in a move for Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah, reports Sport. The Blaugrana are reported to see the 28-year-old as a potential replacement for Eric García if he leaves, but they are hopeful of negotiating lower than the €20m demands from the Bundesliga side. Tah was a standout player to help Leverkusen win the league title last season, while he was also a starter for Germany at the European Championship.

Atalanta have made contact with Chelsea over an approach for defender Trevoh Chalobah, says Gianluca Di Marzio. The Serie A club are believed to be keen to land a centre-back in the next week, but it is reported that the 25-year-old’s high salary could prove to be a stumbling block. La Dea are also interested in Bayer Leverkusen’s Odilon Kossounou.
