LPA over Visayas Mindanao dissipates

MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area spotted between the Visayas and Mindanao has dissipated, but the easterlies will continue to affect parts of the country today, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.

PAGASA said Metro Manila and most parts of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy.

The easterlies will affect the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao. It will bring isolated rains over Bicol, Caraga Eastern Visayas, and Davao region.

Localized thunderstorms may bring isolated rains over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The public has been advised to watch out for possible floods and landslides.

The southwest monsoon is over the West Philippine Sea and is not affecting any part of the country.

Up to 25 areas may still experience danger levels of heat index, which may range between 42 and 45 degrees Celsius.
