The summer transfer window won’t reopen in Europe for another month, but there are plenty of moves in the works and gossip swirling around. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings, goings and, of course, done deals!
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen remains one of the most sought-after players of the summer, and Corriere Dello Sport believes that Arsenal have a chance of landing him if they’re prepared to use either one or both of Emile Smith Rowe (23) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (24) in a swap deal.
Osimhen, 25, has a release clause of €130 million which forms part of a deal with Gli Azzurri that runs out in 2026.
Napoli are of course hopeful that Osimhen might see out the duration of his contract under new prospective boss Antonio Conte, but they also believe they could be smart and strengthen their squad if the Gunners are willing to include one or more key players in any transfer.
Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Osimhen, particularly following Kylian Mbappe‘s move to Real Madrid, while a number of Saudi Pro League clubs have also shown their interest in the Nigeria international.

– New Barcelona boss Hansi Flick is hoping to beat Manchester City and Real Madrid to the signing of Bayern Munich‘s Joshua Kimmich this summer despite his club’s limited financial powers, according to Mundo Deportivo. Both City and Madrid have been linked with the 29-year-old in recent weeks, with City regarded as favourites as a result of boss Pep Guardiola having worked with the Germany international while at Bayern.
– Manchester United and Liverpool are both monitoring the situation of Sporting CP centre-back Gonçalo Inacio, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 22-year-old is contracted until 2027 and has a release clause of €60m. Liverpool could be in the market for a central defender following the departure of Joël Matip on a free transfer, while United are looking for both a left and right-sided central defender. Portugal international Inacio played 32 league games as Sporting won the Liga Portugal title ahead of rivals Benfica and FC Porto.
– AC Milan‘s hunt for a new right-back continues, and Tottenham Hotspur‘s Emerson Royal remains a top target, according to Fabrizio Romano. Romano reports that the 25-year-old is keen on a move to the Italian capital, and that personal terms could be agreed pretty quickly. Tottenham are looking to recoup around €20m for the Brazilian defender, with Royal’s contract due to come to an end in 2026.
– Celtic are looking to make a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher, according to Football Insider. The Republic of Ireland shot-stopper is keen to leave Anfield in an effort to find more first-team football, and the Scottish champions are hoping Kelleher can replace the retiring Joe Hart. Celtic’s only issue in their pursuit is what is believed to be their maximum budget of £10m, which falls short of Liverpool’s valuation.
– Omari Forson looks set to leave Manchester United as a free agent having refused to sign a new contract with the club, according to Fabrizio Romano. Wonderkid Forson sparked rumours about his United future in January after it emerged that he was hesitant in extending his contract beyond the existing June deadline, and now there are several clubs lining up to snap up the talented 19-year-old winger.
