The summer transfer window won’t reopen in Europe for another month, but there are plenty of moves in the works and gossip swirling around. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings, goings and, of course, done deals!
Three new clubs have joined the race to sign RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Dani Olmo, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Liverpool, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich are reported to be the latest sides preparing moves for the 26-year-old, who remains on the wishlist of Barcelona. He is believed to have previously shown interest in joining the Blaugrana, but their financial situation means a deal isn’t a certainty unless they can move some current squad players on.
Olmo signed a new contract with the Bundesliga club until 2027 last summer that included a €60 million release clause, but Sky Deutschland reports that the clause is only active until the end of the European Championships, which gives interested clubs until mid-July to make a move.
Olmo contributed to nine goals in 21 league games last season.
– Bayern Munich could challenge Borussia Dortmund in the race for VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy, reports Sky Sports Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg. It is reported that the Bundesliga side are open to making a move for the 28-year-old should they successfully land Burnley manager Vincent Kompany, who may intend to play a system with two strikers. A release clause in Guirassy’s deal is set to become active this summer, which allows clubs to sign him for a fee in the region of €20m.
– Real Madrid winger Rodrygo has no plans to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, reports Fabrizio Romano. Despite previously being linked with a potential exit from the club, the 23-year-old is said to be “very happy” with the club’s current project. He made 50 appearances across all competitions for Los Blancos last season, as well as signing an extension that secures his future until 2028.
– A race between Roma and Borussia Dortmund could take place for Juventus centre-back Dean Huijsen, reports Gazzetta dello Sport. The 19-year-old has currently been on loan with the Giallorossi this season, and it is believed that the Bianconeri would be willing to allow him to leave permanently if they receive an offer of €30m for his signature.
– Leeds United are braced to receive offers for versatile midfielder Archie Gray, reports Football Insider. The 18-year-old has been the subject of interest from multiple clubs in the Premier League as well as Bayern Munich of late, but it is reported that they will attempt to persuade him to stay by making him a key part of their project next season amid hopes of gaining promotion to the Premier League.
– Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny wants to stay at Juventus despite interest from two clubs, reports Nicolo Schira. Talks have recently been ongoing between the Bianconeri and the 34-year-old’s representatives, who recently turned down an offer from the Serie A club to extend his deal until 2026.
