Expect slow moving traffic in SLEx-Magallanes due to coconut oil spill

MANILA, Philippines — An oil tanker loaded with coconut oil crashed into a pillar at South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) – Magallanes on Saturday, causing an oil spill and traffic for motorists.

Based on the report given by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to INQUIRER.net, the incident happened around 7 a.m. along the Magallanes Skyway entry ramp.

The incident was already taken care of by personnel from Skyway and MMDA.

“Cleared as of 09:31 am,” the MMDA said.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Skyway personnel advised the public of traffic on both the northbound and southbound at Magallanes area.

The area of the incident is not closed to motorists, but slow moving traffic is currently being experienced in the area of the incident.
