Arci Muñoz reveals stolen credit card used to buy diamonds, high-end phone

Arci Muñoz shared further details on the credit card that was stolen from her while she was on a business-class flight, lamenting how she lost hundreds of thousands after the culprit bought diamonds and a high-end phone.

The actress reiterated the incident which happened during her flight last Nov. 6, admitting she did not make a fuss about it at the time because she did not want to start a commotion.

Muñoz added that the suspected individual, whom she described as a Chinese-looking guy, immediately dropped her bag on the floor after seeing that she was already awake. The guy reportedly spent P500,000 using the actress’ credit card.

“Bumili siya ng diamonds, jewelry, [at] iPhone [sa Ho Chi Minh at Jakarta],” Muñoz told the press during the “Replacing Chef Chico” red-carpet event on Thursday, Nov. 23. “Ang sakit talaga.”

(He purchased diamonds, jewelry and an iPhone in Ho Chi Minh and Jakarta. It was heartbreaking.)

“So, nag-try ako mag-appeal sa bank… pero syempre, ‘yung investigation nila, wala lang. Sinabi nila na it’s my responsibility daw, my card. Sabi ko, ‘e nanakaw nga e,’” she said, adding that she did not receive “alerts” about the purchases.

(I tried to appeal to the bank, but of course nothing happened after the investigation. They said that my card was my responsibility, so I told them, “But it was stolen from me.”)

“Guys, take care talaga of your stuff,” she reminded the public. “Also, nagpasalamat na lang ako na walang nangyari sa akin.”

(Guys, please take care of your stuff. I am just thankful that I wasn’t hurt.)
