The 2023 WCWS field is set: The final 8 teams, schedule and how to watch
Tiare Jennings hits Oklahoma’s 5th home run of the game to send the Sooners to the WCWS. (0:46)
The 2023 Women’s College World Series field is set, and seven teams are looking to dethrone No. 1 Oklahoma from the top of the college softball world.
The WCWS begins Thursday when No. 4 Tennessee plays No. 5 Alabama, and the Sooners will continue their bid to three-peat — and extend their historic winning streak — when they face No. 9 Stanford, a team that boasts the nation’s ERA leader in NiJaree Canady.
No. 3 Florida State, which is seeking to bring home the championship trophy for the first time since 2018, opens the night session in Oklahoma City against No. 6 Oklahoma State. The fourth game Thursday pits No. 7 Washington against No. 15 Utah in a battle of Pac-12 rivals.
The WCWS is double elimination, so Thursday’s winners advance to the winners bracket and will play Saturday, while the four losers play in elimination games Friday. After Saturday’s games, where the winners advance to the following Monday’s semifinals, the bracket flips. The best-of-three championship series begins Wednesday, June 7.
Below is the WCWS schedule, the networks you can watch the games and the scores from regionals and super regionals.
