Weeklong operations yield P2.8 million worth of illegal drugs in Central Luzon

OLONGAPO CITY — At least 290 suspects have been arrested, and P2.8 million worth of illegal drugs have been confiscated in Central Luzon during the weeklong operations of the police.

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said Tuesday that it carried out anti-narcotics operations from April 8-14 in different places in the region.

The drug haul was the result of 103 operations, which were mostly buy-bust operations, that led to the seizure of “shabu” (crystal meth) and marijuana, the PRO3 added.

During the same period, police officers arrested 187 most wanted persons and five others for illegally possessing firearms.
