SCNext Top 25: Ranking the best boys’ teams in the 2022-23 season
Montverde Academy (Florida), our No. 1 team in the boys rankings, has won Geico Nationals in back-to-back years and will try to make it three in a row when the tournament begins March 30 (noon, ESPNU).
The Eagles have five players ranked in the 2023 ESPN 100 and four more ranked in the 2024 ESPN 60.
Prolific Prep (Napa, Calif.), our third-ranked team, No. 4 Long Island Lutheran, No. 5 Link Academy (Brandson, Mo.), No. 6 St. Paul VI (Chantilly, Va.), No. 12 IMG (Bradenton, Fla.), No. 15 AZ Compass Prep (Chandler, Ariz.) and No. 16 Sunrise Christian (Bel Aire, Kan.) also are in the Gieco field.
